Dr. Mark Cohen was appointed as a DC Institute Faculty member in 2016. Dr. Cohen performs the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and is an internationally recognized specialist in the placement of dental implants, having placed over 6,000 dental implants in his career. He is an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Manitoba, has published numerous scientific papers dealing with traumatic injuries and pathological conditions of the jaw, has been an examiner and senior examiner in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and is a member of several local and national committees and lectures on various topics in oral surgery.
Dr. Cohen graduated with a dental degree, and Masters in Dentistry, from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa with a specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
