Course Description:

This course provides an overview of the 2018 Classification of Periodontal and Peri-Implant Diseases and Conditions including the updated staging and grading system for classification of periodontitis. This multi-dimensional classification system aims to use patient-centred information to assign a diagnosis that guides treatment planning and allows an individualized approach to periodontal care. Additionally, the most frequently encountered mucogingival and peri-implant diseases and conditions are presented, as well as their management and treatment alternatives. In this two hour webinar, Dr. Theo Katsaros discusses practical applications of the new classification for Doctors.

  • Understand the rationale and scientific evidence supporting the new staging and grading system to classify periodontitis
